21世紀に入り、交通・通信の発達によって世界はとても身近な存在になりました。世界中で起きている出来事が、私たちの身の回りの生活に直接影響を与える時代です。 In the 21st century, advances in transportation and communication have brought the world much closer. Events happening around the globe now have a direct impact on our daily lives.

本学院（旧・浦和国際学院浦和校）は、開校以来、人種や国境を越えて世界中の若者がお互いに交流し、相互理解を深めるとともに、日本語の学習を通じて現代世界への共通の理解を育み、世界的な視野を持つ「国際人」として成長してもらいたい——という理念のもとで教育を行ってまいりました。 Since its foundation as Urawa International School, Urawa Campus, our academy has been guided by the philosophy of fostering young people from all over the world — transcending ethnicity and national borders — to interact with one another, deepen mutual understanding, cultivate a shared understanding of the modern world through the study of Japanese, and grow into cosmopolitans with a global perspective.

日本で勉強することを決意された皆さんへ。日本での生活は決して容易ではありませんが、懸命に勉強する留学生の皆さんを全力でサポートします。日本での生活や日本語能力の習得から、日本文化の様々な側面に触れる機会まで、さまざまなプログラムを用意しています。 To all of you who have decided to study in Japan: life in Japan is by no means easy, but we will do our utmost to support hardworking international students. We have prepared programs covering everything from daily life and Japanese language acquisition to hands-on encounters with many aspects of Japanese culture.

日本語の学習を終えた留学生は、さらに上の学びへ、あるいは職場へと進み、より大きな可能性を追求していきます。その大きな可能性をつかみ、チャンスへ変えるためには、選択する力と想像する力が必要です。私はこれを「人間力」と呼んでいます。日本言語文化アカデミーは、この人間力を育む手助けができる日本語学校です。 After completing their Japanese studies, our students go on to further education or the workforce in pursuit of greater possibilities. To seize these possibilities and turn them into opportunities requires the ability to make choices and to imagine. I call this "human power." The Japan Language and Culture Academy is a school that helps cultivate it.

本学院で学びを始める皆さんが、日本語の能力だけでなく豊かな人間性を身につけ、ここで培った知性と教養をもって、世界の平和と発展に貢献できる国際人となってくださることを心より願っています。 It is our sincere hope that everyone who begins their studies here will acquire not only proficiency in Japanese but also rich humanity, and — with the intelligence and culture cultivated at this academy — become a global citizen who contributes to peace and development in the world.
